I have been active in amateur photography for just under a year. I shoot with a Nikon d40, but know I since I will be attending art institute in October of this year; I think it's time for a up grade I'm thinking d5000. Rogues Gallery 2009 Fall Collection

On the heels of the recent announcement regarding Rogues Gallery’s Alex Carleton as the new man behind the 2010 spring L.L. Bean Signature collection, we take a look into the Carleton’s own label, Rogues Gallery. The Maine and ultimately nautical inspired collection brings a timeless look and design aesthetic.

“Smile On Your Brother” Skateboard Art Exhibition

Using original shaped skate decks as canvas’, artists across the world will put in their two cents in order to be a Contributor of this traveling art show. The “Smile On Your Brother” show, conceived by Mike Giles and Annie Lam and co-curated by Bob Kronbauer of Club Mumble, serves as a fundraiser for the 1.6 million kids living in poverty in Canada. The 50 custom decks, which are to be auctioned off, will raise money into providing 100 skateboards to kids, in hope of giving them some positive encouragement. The show, which is set to begin on the 24th of August, starts off its journey at Livestock in Vancouver, going through Momentum in Saskatechewan, Livestock in Toronto, Off The Hook in Montreal finally ending up in Quebec City at the Morgan Bridge Gallery.

The list of artists include Canada’s own Jeff Hamada (Booooooom), Chinatown Soccer Club, Parra, Don Pendleton, Thomas Campbell, Andrew Pommier, Mike Perry, Julien Valee and Bruxe Design among others. View the full list here

The Hundreds 2009 Fall/Winter Footwear Collection

Upon entering the footwear market, The Hundreds enjoy a strong run with their simple profiles and their easy to wear colors. Continuing on this momentum , we see the latest generations of their increasingly popular models the Johnson Mid-top, the Johnon Low-tops and the Valenzuela Low-top. All three models will be available at The Hundreds Los Angeles and The Hundreds San Francisco start ing this Thursday, however look for them to filter out to other retailers as well in the near future.
